Manesh çok sevdiÄŸi mavi motorunu korumak için nazar boncuklu anahtarlığı kaptı. Dhiraj’ın tercihiyse Istanbul magneti oldu.

This is how we usually work in Igoa. We are only 5 people working in office these days. Because most of the people are in Istanbul office nowadays. But one month later probably there will be 17-18 people in Goa office. For Igoa it’s a usual thing to travel between two offices for catching the best sessions for each city.

Iste Igoa. Simdilik burada 5 kiÅŸiyiz çünkü herkes musonlardan kaçmış ve Istanbul ofisine gitmiÅŸ. Ancak 1 ay sonra buralar canlanınca Goa ofisi 17-18 kiÅŸiye kadar çıkacak gibi görünüyor. Igoa için çalışanların bu iki ÅŸehir arasında devamlı seyahat etmesi gayet sıradan bir ÅŸey. Calışanlar Goa’da sezon baÅŸladığı zaman Goa’ya, muson baÅŸladığı zaman Istanbul’a gitmeyi tercih ediyorlar.

Turkish delight also created huge happiness in the office. Especially by the Indian colleagues.

I am working on a website project for Culinary academy. I have done some illustrations for each page and found an idea to make it bigger in social media with an application. The project is not finalized. Because of that I can’t publish works now. But I will upload them here and also give the link here when the web site is completed and published. By the way it’s always possible to lie down on hammock to think for some ideas for projects or give a small break.

Burada aşçılık okuluyla ilgili bir web sitesi üzerinde çalıştım. Her sayfa için küçük illustrasyonlar yaptım ve bir de sosyal medya için küçük bir aplikasyon fikri buldum. Proje sonlanmadığı için işleri şu an buraya ekleyemiyorum ancak iş sonlandığı ve site yayına girdiği an hem buraya yükleyip hem de sitenin linkini burada paylaşacağım. Bu arada fikir düşünmek ya da küçük aralar vermek için hamak her zaman müsait.

It’s always great to meet with new people. Especially if they have interesting road stories like me. Meet with Ali Murat. He is also a graphic designer who is working as a freelance designer for Turkish clients from Goa. He lives here. These are all ok. But the most important part. He is also traveling around India by his motorbike. Still on the road and made 22.000 km road trip. He will finish it when he reaches 30.000 km. He also have a blog. www.wishyouwerehere.in

This is Vagator beach. One of the first hippy haunts of Goa. Vagator Beach is split into two main beaches by a seaside headland which holds the car park and lots of stalls selling trinkets, clothes, soft drinks and snacks. As you face the sea, on your right is North Vagator Beach.

You can see these kind of trees many times in India. These trees are grow and their branchs become roots after some age and they keep living and living that way. So this tree is a symbol of reincarnation around Asia. Right picture is Chapora.

Hindistan’da bu tür aÄŸaçlardan bol bol görebilirsiniz. Bu aÄŸaçların dalları zamanla aÅŸağı sarkıyor ve toprak altına girerek kök haline geliyor. Bu ÅŸekilde aÄŸaç yaÅŸamaya devam ediyor. Bu yüzden Asya’da bu aÄŸaçlar reenkarnasyon inancının sembolü hatta ortaya çıkışı olarak bilinir.

Eskiden daha çok hippi mekanı olarak bilinen bu mekandan hippiler göç etmiş. Su an daha çok balıkçılık mekanı olarak kullanılmakta.

I was about to buy a train ticket for going to Goa. But Sudhir told me that one of his friend is also going to Goa. So he asked for a extra space in the car and he said yes. I went to his place and we started our trip at 03:00 am in the morning from Pune to Goa. The road to Goa is quite challanging with all curves and offroad experience but you see beautiful nature everywhere.

SaÄŸolsun kabul etti ve ben Indi design’daki son iÅŸ günü çıkışında bu abi’nin evine gittim. Orda biraz uyukladıktan sonra sabaha karşı 03:00 am gibi Goa yoluna koyulduk. Yol virajlarla dolu uzun bir maceraydı ama etraftaki doÄŸal güzellikler her ÅŸeyi unutturuyordu.

When I was about to arrive Goa, I called Sertaç from Igoa advertising agency. But gsm operator told me that that number is not exist. Then I called his Turkish number but it wasn’t reachable either. I wrote e-mails and also tried to contact with him via whats app. No replies. Sudhir’s friend leave me in the city centre and I was stucked there. I had no idea where to go. Then I decided to enter the first hotel I see because I was too tired of road trip. I found one after 2 minutes and paid 600 rupees for 1 day. No ac, no tv, no toilet paper, no soap, no drinkable water, nothing. Just a dirty bed and a fan on the ceiling. I lied down to bed and after 1 hour Sertac contacted with me and told me where to meet. I tried to get my money back from hotel but they didn’t want to pay back.

Goa’ya varmama az kala Igoa’dan Sertaç’a ulaÅŸmaya çalıştım. Ama Hindistan numarasını aradığımda operatör bana böyle bir numaranın olmadığını söyledi. Ben de Türkiye numarasını denedim. Bu sefer de ulaşılamıyor cevabını aldım. E-postalar, whats app mesajları derken ben Goa meydanında indim ama hala Sertaç’a ulaÅŸabilmiÅŸ deÄŸildim. Inanılmaz bir yorgunluk ve sırtımda aÄŸir bir çantayla mal mal dolaÅŸmak yerine ilk gördüğüm otele girip yatmak geldi aklıma. 2 dakikada bir oda buldum. Günlügüne 600 rupi ödediÄŸim bu odada ne sabun, ne tuvalet kağıdı, ne klima, ne televizyon, ne içme suyu, ne dolap, hiç bir ÅŸey yoktu. Sadece pis bir yatak ve 4 duvar. YataÄŸa uzandım. 1 saat kadar sonra Sertaç bana ulaÅŸtı. Otelden çıkıp paramı geri almak en azından yarısını kotarmak istedim ama otel sahibi çirkef çıktı. Taksiye atladım Sertaç’ın anlattığı yere gittim ve orada buluÅŸtuk.

Then we met with Sertaç, master of Goa. jumped to bike and came to office. The left picture is the entrance of the agency. Right ones are what I see when I turn my back to Igoa. Full of green space and the famous Anjuna beach only 25 meters away from Igoa building.

This is Igoa building. The place where good ideas came from and collecting all web design awards. Igoa have 2 offices one in Istanbul and the orher in Goa. Rules are basic. Goa office works with Istanbul office together based on Turkey time. So work starts here in 10:30 and ends 20:30. Drugs are not allowed in office. Everything else is free. Igoa members are also free to change office when they want. Company pays the flight tickets. And give motorbike and house to live.

Sirket çalışanlarına motor, kalacak yer ve uçak bileti saÄŸlıyor. Igoa’da kurallar çok basit. Sirket Istanbul saatiyle çalışıyor. Dolayısıyla iÅŸ 10:30′da baÅŸlıyor. 20:30 ise çıkış. UyuÅŸturucu kullanmak yasak. Onun dışında her ÅŸey serbest.

This is a site full with nice villa houses. One of best ones in Goa. And we have a house here.

We also have a swimming pool just near of the house. It takes only 12 seconds to jump in from the living room.

First breakfast in Goa. Foods are much better in Goa comparing to Mumbai and Pune. Because of tourizm it’s much easy to find non spicy options.

Goa’da ilk kahvaltı. Yemekler diÄŸer ÅŸehirlere göre çok daha iyi diyebilirim. Lezzetli ve acısız ÅŸeyler bulmak çok daha kolay.

After that we took a ride around Goa with Sertaç, he showed me some places and important parts of Goa.

It’s actually not a good time to come Goa. Because Goa is still in monsoon. Crazy beach parties are starting in October and going on till February. If you think about to come this place, keep this in mind. There are also some other oppurtunities in monsoon time here. Some people prefer it chill out and feel in peace.

Aslında Goa’ya gelmek için doÄŸru zaman olmadı. Cünkü Goa’nın asıl aksiyon dolu günlerine daha var. Su an buralarda hala muson etkisi var. Ekim – Subat arası Goa tam anlamıyla gerçek bir parti cennetine dönüşüyor. Gelmek isterseniz aklınızda bulunsun. Ama muson zamanının da ayrı bir durumu var. Bazı insanlar kafa dinlemeyi ve tüm o partilerden sıyrık halli Goa’yı daha çok seviyorlar.

Still many europen business man quit their jobs and come here to live like a hippie. I saw many old european, american people here with rasta hair, smoking weed and having drugs.

Goa aslında hippilerin gelip yerleştiği ilk yerlerden biri. Su an 2. jenerasyon hippiler burada yasamlarını sürdürüyorlar. Gençler plazalarda para için hayatlarını harcarken bir çok iş adamı tatile geldiği bu yerden dönmemeyi ve burada kalıp birer hippi olmayı tercih etmiş. Ortalıkta 40 yaş üstü bir ton Avrupalı, Amerkalı hippi görmek mümkün.

They say “Better in Goa.” Actually it explains everything about Goa. This place have it’s own soul and it’s much diffrent experience than any other touristic place.

Stories are very interesting in Goa. In my first day I met with an european pregnant woman who lives in Goa all the time, a friend of Sertaç’s. Father doesn’t even know about baby. She was drinking like crazy and having drugs. I asked does your baby like these things? She said of course! I have no idea about how that baby will born.

Goa’da en acayip insan hikayeleriyle karşılaÅŸmanız gayet normal bir ÅŸey. Burada yaÅŸayan herkesin çok ilginç geçmiÅŸleri var.  Dün Sertaç’ın bir arkadaşıyla tanıştım. Hintli olmayan bir kız. Nerelisin dediÄŸimde planet earth dedi bana. Hamile, ama çocuktan babasının haberi yokmuÅŸ. Hem içiyor hem tüttürüyor. Bunları bebeÄŸin seviyor mu diye sorduÄŸumda bayılıyor dedi. O çocuk nasıl doÄŸacak merak içindeyim açıkcası.

Then we saw a guy lost his bike and can’t turn back to home. Also we met with two English girls who are asking for our help to drop them to hotel. They couln’t remember the way back. But they also didn’t remember the hotel’s name… Somehow we found the hotel and drop them. They said that we are life saver saints.

Sonra motorunu hatırlamayan ve doğru motoru bulamadıği için eve dönemeyen bi çocukla karşılaştık. Hemen ardından iki ingiliz kız geldi. Bizi otelimize bırakır mısınız yolu bilmiyoruz dediler. Tamam dedik otel nedir? Bilmiyoruz dediler. Otelin adını unutmuşlar. Uzun bir mücadele sonunda kızları otele bırakmayı başardık. 10000 kere teşekkür ettiler, önemli değil dedik yola devam ettik.

This is an interesting shop which we discovered while travelling around with bike. All these fabrics painted on hand. They glow in dark.
